Seasoned Software Engineer Extraordinaire (United States)

AppId is over the quota
AppId is over the quota

This is an awesome opportunity for the right guy or gal to join our small-but-mighty team and work on cutting-edge industry leading projects. This position is for someone who likes to have fun, move fast, be challenged, loves problem solving and innovation.
You’re someone we want to talk to if you: Are a pixel-pushing powerhouse who is at-ease with front-end development using HTML/CSS/Javascript, especially jQuery. Comfortable with using CSS frameworks like Twitter Bootstrap, or Foundation by Zurb where appropriate to speed front-end developmentAre committed to writing well-documented code, following best practices, and familiar with the principles of Agile Development ( and someone who understands the Progressive Enhancement, "get it working - then make it purty" sort of mentality )Are familiar with Version Control Systems, and happy to not only use them, but to provide insightful commit messages. We use GitHub, so familiarity with Git SCM and a "commit often, push daily" sort of mentality is a mustBring a Problem-Solving attitude/approach to development would be nice. We don't need a simple code-monkey, we need an innovative developer that can take simple instructions and map the path to implementation without needing every tiny detail documented for themAre independent, but willing to keep the team informed. Meaning, you’re more than capable of knocking things out without us having to constantly look over your shoulder to keep you on task, and you will regularly report progress on your work without us having to chase you down for status updates ( we’re not the micro-managing type, as you might have guessed ;-)Are someone who takes pride in the fact that you’re self-driven (this is a remote location position), communicative, quality-focused and goal-driven.Are looking for a long-term position. We’re not looking for temporary help here, as we’re building a strong team that’s in it for the long haul.Technology Requirements: Object-Oriented PHP Experience, familiar with not only OOP, but also is familiar and experienced in coding for PHP 5.3+Familiarity with MVC Frameworks such as CodeIgniter  (used in AZM) , CakePHP, Zend FrameworkExperience with using composer in php projectsPreferably has several projects under their belt using one of the above frameworksEspecially comfortable with Front-end development, mostly with CSS/HTML5,Javascript & jQuery Adept a making front-ends talk to back-ends using ajax raw and via jQuery (azm uses jquery)Experience with jQuery UI and it's little idiosyncraciesExperience with Objective-C for iOS /Java for Android a Plus.
Let us not mince words: We want Rock-Star talent, not Rock-Star attitude. We’re all having fun here, but we have very lofty goals and are looking for someone that’s comfortable -no, DRIVEN- to meet or beat deadlines.
We’ve got a small but super-talented team of developers ranging from Objective-C to PHP that are more than willing to help get you immersed and up-to-speed on things. So if you’re a confident crafty-coding go-getter that wants to build an on-going relationship with some pretty cool cats (if we do say so ourselves), please email us now
